Emigrant Lake (map)

  1. From I-5, take South Ashland Exit 14.
  2. Go east (left, if your coming from Medford) on Hwy 66 for 6 miles (3 miles past the main Emigrant Lake Park entrance).
  3. Turn left onto Greensprings Spur Road (a dirt road marked by a small handmade sign which is easy to miss). (Please drive slowly past homes.)
  4. Turn right onto the lake shore, just past the parking area, and follow the dirt road along the shore to the training hill. (If the water level is too high, we will meet in the obvious parking area near the restroom.)

Hornbrook (map)

  1. From I-5 (in Northern California), take Hornbrook Exit 789.
  2. Turn east (left, if your coming from Oregon) on Copco Lake/Irongate Road.
  3. Go 8.5 miles to Copco Lake Dam.
  4. Turn right on Lakeview Road and cross bridge (just below dam); go 3.1 miles.
  5. Turn left onto Irongate Road and go 1/8 mile.
  6. Turn right onto Mescal Drive. The landing field is 1/8 mile on your left. (Please drive slowly past any homes and do not leave any road surfaces).

Woodrat Mountain (map)

from the south (northbound on I-5):

  1. From I-5, take Exit 24.
  2. Turn left onto Fern Valley Road and go half mile.
  3. Turn right onto N Main Street/OR-99/S Pacific Hwy and continue on OR-99/S Pacific Hwy for 1.4 miles.
  4. Turn left onto Stage Road S and follow signs to Jacksonville (Stage Road becomes Hwy 238).
  5. Go through Jacksonville on Hwy 238 for 6.5 miles.
  6. Turn left onto Bishop Creek Road (a paved road with a cattle guard). The parking area is 1/8 mile ahead on left, just off of the pavement. Be sure to park without blocking the road or driveways.

from the north (southbound on I-5):

  1. From I-5, take the North Medford Exit 30.
  2. Turn right (west) and follow signs to Jacksonville.
  3. Go through Jacksonville on Hwy 238 for 6.5 miles.
  4. Turn left onto Bishop Creek Road (a paved road with a cattle guard). The parking area is 1/8 mile ahead on left, just off of the pavement. Be sure to park without blocking the road or driveways.
